New Year, New Adventures
2007 promises to be a year of many new things to us.
Here's what we mean:
The First Grandchild!
Our oldest son Adam and his wife Autumn are expecting! George and Karen will become grandparents probably sometime in June.
Wedding Bells Again!
Our oldest daughter Amy is engaged to be married to David Wierzbicki, a fine young Christian man. The planned date for the wedding is October 13th.
An Empty Nest!
It looks as though it won't be long before we go from having four children still living at home to perhaps none! After middle daughter Alisa returns from abroad in March (presently she is doing mission work in India), she plans to go back to university. Our second son Aaron and our youngest daughter Angelie have both applied to several colleges and universities to begin studies away from home in the fall. That leaves Mom and Dad to move off to England by ourselves, with no kids in tow for the first time in a long time.
New Ministry and Country
Moving to England means getting used to a new home, a new country, a new church, new friends, new colleagues, and a new ministry. In the next few months Karen and I plan to visit our new mission field and make some decisions about what kind of neighbourhood to live in and so on. However, before the final move can happen, our monthly pledged support must increase dramatically, to cover greater living expenses and an already existing shortfall. Several of our current supporters have expressed an intention to increase their support level, but have given no amounts yet. We recently had a supporting church drop us due to their own internal financial problems. Please consider what God would have you do for the next year or two to undergird us in this ministry. We appreciate your interest and your prayers!
Yours in Jesus,
George for all
